Well, lets start planning! Any ideas, suggestions, or anything of the sort?

I like the idea of picking an area where pigs are also available.  Gives us a "secondary" quarry if you will.

Don't have much experience hunting in Mississippi, so I'll let y'all choose the site.  Hope to make it this year.

i  vote for the Delta National Forrest near  Rolling Fork.

lots of good campsites Primitive but clean, a few with modern outhouses, good roads, sites rent for $7.00 per night when i checked in november. year  round access,  under water a lot last year and   hunting clubs all around, game is scarce, no turkey season, this year, i assume the flooding  killed the hatch, them and the fire ants.

you have access to Panther swamp wma . maybe 15 miles lots of pigs, lots of deer and like the forrest,, LOTS OF ROOM to hide, both have good roads for vehicle and 4 wheelerrs.

i will be available  to escort a party   of  one or two { i have a small truck} to scout it,  at almost any time, no charge for looking and we can get info at the office and maybe even catch a ranger at their office, a gorgeous area to just ride and look.  40 or so miles from vicksburg,  60 or so miles from jackson, access from 49,16 or 61 higthways,

lake george wma is close maybe 15 miles got a few pigs and deer.

WMA is  wildlife management area,  they are  run by the state usually on federal land,.

I could talk all day but the best ideat is to send a scout to look   come for the day it will take it to look at most of this, motor homes will have very little or no trouble with these campsites, all are big enough for the rolling mansions.

pm me or email  swampman69@hotmail  to get more info or directions or a daylong ride through the swamps of the mississippi river.

How about checking with the Boy Scouts in Yazoo City to see if we could use their camping site, its where the Yazoo Bowhunters has their shoots. It is close to Hill Side, Panther Swamp, Lake George GMA . Also has bath, can stay in camp house, camper trailer hook ups, (water and Elect.) for about $15 bucks a night. It has a pavilion with tables. Best of all it would be just us Trad hunters, unless the Boy Scouts has something going. I sure we could work around their dates if they do.

If yall want to have the 2015 gathering at the Yazoo Bowhuntes club just let me know and I'll check for open dates. At this point I think everthing is wide open. As JJ has stated we are a short drive to either Panther, Hill side, Delta National or Lake George GMA. Camping is $15 or $20 a night.

well lets nail it down then if it works for everyone. You guys see about the yazoo camping and post it up. we can plan dates around what they have open. We can keep it in one location/wma or it sounds like guys can have options if we cMp in that location. What do yall want to do? If we get approval to camp, can someone post address on here for the camp site.

I'm in. I guess it all depends on the availability of the scout camp. Which dates are open? Which WMA? Joey, I am proud you are still alive. I have called, emailed, text, wrote letters with no response. Glad to hear from you. What about a special guest speaker?
